AI agents for logistics
A logistics agent closes the gap between shipment data and paperwork: it reads carrier emails and PDFs, notices delays, notifies the right person and writes the status back into your system. Zero-Shot connects these agents to your TMS, ERP and shared mailbox.
What we build
- 01An agent that reads waybills, invoices, bills of lading and customs documents into structured fields
- 02A flow that reads carrier email and updates shipment status
- 03Delay and route deviation detection with automatic notification
- 04Drafted and sent routine carrier correspondence
- 05A daily report of mismatches between documents and system records
How it runs
01
Sample the paperwork
We collect samples from every carrier and every document type. Extraction accuracy is measured per type rather than hidden inside an average.
02
Read first, write later
V1 only reads and proposes. Writing into the system opens once the per-field accuracy threshold is met.
03
The exception queue
Documents the agent is unsure about go into a separate queue. The team only looks at that queue — that is where the time is saved.
04
Tune per carrier
Every carrier formats documents differently. Carriers with low accuracy get their own extraction rules.
What we measure
- Field extraction accuracy, per document type and per carrier
- Share of documents landing in the exception queue
- Time to detect a delay, before and after
- Hours spent on manual data entry
- Number of mismatches between documents and system records
When this is the wrong fit
If your documents arrive only as unreadable photographs, or no standard record is kept per shipment, accuracy stays low. In that case the win is in standardising what carriers send you.
Common questions
Can it read scanned and handwritten documents?
Accuracy is high on printed scans; on handwriting it depends on the document type. That is why accuracy is measured per carrier and per type. Types below the threshold are never opened to automatic writing — they stay in the exception queue.
Do we need to replace our TMS or ERP?
No. The agent writes into your existing system over an API or the database. Where there is no API, an intermediate record layer is created for the team to approve, and the system stays as it is.
Does the agent email carriers on its own?
For routine, templated correspondence yes — but as drafts at first. Anything involving price, penalties or contract terms is never sent automatically; it sits behind an approval gate.
