About

Who we are, how we work, and what we don't do.

In short

Zero-Shot Team is an independent group of self-taught AI builders based in Istanbul. It builds AI agents, enterprise retrieval (RAG), fine-tuning and evaluation pipelines, vision and voice systems, generative design systems and LLM infrastructure. Every member runs their own profile and portfolio, and clients keep the code, prompts and evaluation sets.

How it started

Zero-Shot started in 2026, when a few people who knew each other from forums and open-source repositories finished a piece of work together. None of us studied this formally; we learned because we had to ship something that worked.

The team has grown the same way ever since: someone shows what they built, the members who review it accept the work, and then they set up their own page. We never ask for a CV. The only question is whether the thing being shown actually runs.

We are based in Istanbul, but the work happens remotely. Projects are staffed by the members a job needs rather than by a fixed roster.

How a project runs here

  1. 01

    Define the measure first

Before any code, we write down what success looks like. We turn down work that cannot be measured, because nobody can tell when it is finished.

  2. 02

    A small piece that works

The first delivery lands within two weeks and runs end to end. We don't spend months on slides and hand everything over at once.

  3. 03

    An evaluation set

Every project ships with a test set that proves it behaves. When a model changes, that set is what tells you what broke.

  4. 04

    Handover

Code, prompts, data and evaluation files stay with you. We hold nothing back to keep you dependent on us.

What we don't do

Zero-Shot is not a software agency or a consultancy; it is a builder team that assembles per project. It does not sell an off-the-shelf SaaS product or advertising services.

Frequently asked

Is Zero-Shot an agency?
No. An agency has a fixed roster and distributes work across it. Here the work is defined first, then the members who can do it come together. The difference shows up on the invoice too: you are not paying for a sales and management layer.
How many people are there, and who will work on my project?
The current member count is on the team page. When a project comes in, we name the people who will work on it within two days; a team you cannot see is not doing your work.
What does self-taught mean here?
Members have no formal training in this field; each learned through their own projects. Admission is based on working software, not credentials. Every member states publicly on their profile what they are currently learning.
Can I come with a small project?
Yes. It can be a one-week feasibility check or a system build spanning months. Small projects usually run with a single member, which makes them move faster.
Where do you work?
We are based in Istanbul, the work runs remotely, and we take projects from outside Turkey. Correspondence and delivery can be in Turkish or English.
